George Miller: Rockland Harbor Photo Exhibit
Released 12/3/09

The Maine Lighthouse Museum will be hosting an exhibition of the works of George A. Miller.
George specializes in Marine Photography with an emphasis on Rockland Harbor, Maine and the documentation of the daily activities in and around Rockland Harbor.
Framed and matted photographs of The Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse, Owls Head. Windjammers cruising, Lobster boats, scenic sunrises and the working waterfront are only a small portion of his photos to be displayed.
This past summer Miller produced a benefit poster bearing the image of the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse with the goal to help offset the costs of keeping the Museum alive. Many local businesses have and are selling the posters with 25% of the proceeds going to the museum.
The exibition will include numerous photos never seen before of Rockland Harbor.
The Maine Lighthouse Museum and Miller are working together on this endeavor. Dot Black, Director of the Museum and Miller's goal is to showcase Rockland Harbor thru his Photographs and to continue to help in any way to offset the costs and to continue to provide the community and the thousands of visitors to the midcoast an ongoing history of Maine and its lighthouses in a venue which is one, no one can deny, exceeds any other in its collections.
Photos will be on display and for sale begining Friday November 27 thru the month of December with 20% of the proceeds going directly to the museum.
